WHEREAS, the President of the United States has issued an executive order titled “Protecting the American People Against Invasion,” which seeks to enforce immigration laws rigorously;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1. Purpose.

To affirm the commitment of the [School District Name] to support the enforcement of immigration laws within its jurisdiction and to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

Section 2. Compliance with Federal Immigration Authorities.

All school district staff are directed to cooperate with officials from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other relevant law enforcement agencies when required by law or when such cooperation does not conflict with legal obligations or student privacy rights.

Section 3. Policy on Information Sharing.

  • Estimate the annual cost per year associated with educating these students, including but not limited to language support, special education, and additional administrative expenses.
  • Analyze the academic success rates of these students compared to the general student population, considering factors like graduation rates, proficiency levels in standardized tests, and college readiness.
  • This review shall be completed within 120 days from the date of this resolution, with a report presented to the School Board and made publicly available.

Section 5. Support for Immigration Law Enforcement.

The School Board supports the creation of policies that do not interfere with federal immigration enforcement, recognizing the legal authority of such actions within school premises when legally justified.

Section 6. Legal and Ethical Considerations.

All actions taken pursuant to this resolution will be in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including those protecting civil rights and educational privacy.

Section 7. Implementation.

The Superintendent will oversee the implementation of this resolution, ensuring that school policies reflect the directives herein and that staff are trained appropriately on compliance with immigration enforcement requests.
